my mom rescued this ancient projector bulb from being tossed when they cleaned out her classroom at the end of the school year. way to go, mom! i love it! light bulb filaments are so beautiful. i can hardly believe that electricity passes between all those miniature spring-like wires to illuminate! this one was especially unique-hadn’t ever seen one with a waffle structure before – 1,000 watts, baby! i ran out to staples this morning and bought a new clamp light for my table. i was in need of some light over in my corner. i also changed the bulb in my bedroom and broke the oldie in the process of trying to climb down off of my rickety stool…hence the broken exposed filament. reminds me of a flower stamen. just needs some petals. maybe that was the inspiration. ha. probably not. it’s still a keeper.
