last nite i ate a fantastic helping of pancakes and bacon for dinner. my friend and i then trekked to the video store where we rented “Days of Heaven”. We ate popcorn and ice cream. My friend, Christy made a point at about 3 different times during the movie that the story was just like that of Sarah and Abraham in the Bible. She also said probably 6 times that the reoccurring song was in some other movie but what!?!…by the end I decided in my mind that the song was also in Edward Scissorhands and Babe. When the movie ended we waited for the credits to find out that it was Saint-Saens, Carnival of the Animals – The Aquarium. I proceeded to fall asleep, Christy proceeded to google. She confirmed that the song was also in Beauty and the Beast, to which she said “Yes! it’s true it’s when the rose is under the glass”. I fell asleep, and woke up to her still searching and telling me that the version on Edward Scissorhands seemed different but similar. I woke myself up saying “what did you say?” Christy said “nothing” but confirmed that I was right about Babe. I fell asleep again with a smile on my face for being right. The music search and night felt endless in a strange and good way. i fell asleep for the final time and dreamt that my front tooth cracked in half and i was missing the bottom tooth altogether. I woke up this morning, checked my teeth and walked home, quite refreshed.
